Piñas Bay

Piñas Bay is, during season (Jan-Mar), quite arguably the best place in the world for fishing the Black Marlin. Zanes reef is just a short distance from the Bay and the fishing is absolutely spectacular! More than 180 world records have been set or broken at Piñas Bay. The Tropic Star Lodge is situated here as well. But warning, the Lodge during peak season is usually a 100% sold out throughout the entire high season. All the crews are made up of the best fishermen and captains. Both are extremely important components when big game fishing. And although there is no way to guarantee a world record, you will definitely enjoy amazing fishing in Piñas Bay. The inland fishing here is also top notch. There is also great inshore fishing for jack, dorado and wahoo. You will have the opportunity to fish some of the outer Las Perlas islands if you wish upon your return to Panama, for the best of both worlds.
