Pearl IslandsThe Archipelago of Las Perlas consists of over 40 islands, many of which are uninhabited. The white sand beaches are blessed by waters abundant with fish. Although fishing in Panama is seasonal, there really is no bad season, just different types of fish. During the summer (from December to May) the seas are full of Red Snapper, Grouper, and Amberjack. The ocean temperature drops during these months and the bottom dwelling fish move to the surface and hit the surface lures. The peak of the Snapper season is February to March. They are often found in huge schools swarming while feeding behind Pacheca island. The sea quite literally looks orange from the fish in their feeding frenzy at the surface. There is also wonderful bottom fishing throughout the island during this time of the year. The outer lying islands harbor large Jack, Tuna, Wahoo and Sailfish. There are several beautiful lodges and hotels throughout the islands if you wish to stop have a drink and hang out for a bit. Fishing the archipelago is a fabulous experience. Fish all day or stop and take some time out to relax and have some fun on the sand too! Our Package Includes
