Isla Coiba, Hannibal Bank and Cebaco Bay

Coiba island is located off the west coast of the Isthmus of Panama. The island is home to one of the last penal colonies in the world where Panama's most notorious criminals are incarcerated. But of far more importance to the angler, it is home to some of the most spectacular fishing in all of Panama. The Hannibal Bank and Cebaco Bay is excellent for big game fish, namely Marlin and Sail, as well as shore fish such as Monster Snapper, Grouper, Roosterfish, Dorado and Tuna. The scenery is as breathtaking as the fishing is amazing in Coiba. Crystal clear shallows descend from the island to great depths and deep blue waters. We suggest to visitors to take land transportation to Puerto Mutis or to take a charter flight directly to Coiba. The yacht will be waiting for you and and immediate departure is assured. The Coiba area is very lightly fished due to it being known by so few. Those that have fished there love to return.
